Volunteers Needed: Executive Management Search Process

NSITSP is seeking volunteers for the Executive Search Taskforce.

As we’ve mentioned recently, the NSITSP is growing quickly, and we need to find more professional association management.

I’ve been the Executive Director more or less by default since I’m the founder. But I am also running my own company fulltime. As our membership and activity grow, we will need management from someone who is actually trained and certified in running a not-for-profit membership association.

Don’t worry – I’m not going anywhere. I hope to have a very longterm role in the NSITSP.

The Board has established the following framework for an Executive Search Taskforce:

  1. The Taskforce will consist Amy Babinchak (our Board President), Karl Palachuk (Founder and current Executive Director) and seven members chosen from our membership.

2. We are requesting that you send a Volunteer letter of interest. If you would like to apply to service on the Taskforce, send a brief letter to admin@nsitsp.org stating why you are interested in serving and why you are qualified.

Deadline to receive letters of interest is Friday, February 24th

Note: This is not the application. The board wants to see who’s interested and willing to put out some effort before they invite applicants to fill out the longer form.

The Board will discuss Letters of Interest at their regular February 27 board meeting.

  1. A select group of people will be invited to proceed. They will be directed to a formal application form.

The deadline for application forms is Friday, March 10th.

The Board will hold a special meeting to review applications on Monday, March 13th.

  1. The Taskforce will begin organizing and meeting as soon as practicable after March 13th.

Since we do have a sitting Executive Director, we are growing, and things are headed in the right direction, we are not in a big hurry. But once we start the process, we’d like it to move along at a good pace.

I am honored by your support and amazed that we have gotten to this point in less than two years. Thank you for all of your support. And if you’re interested, I encourage you to apply to serve on the Executive Search Taskforce!
