NSITSP Members Helping Members

The ITDRC in full swing in a disaster data center

Natural (and even man-made) disasters happen all the time. Who is there to bring the technical expertise to help communities get back on their feet? The ITDRC. That’s who.

The ITDRC stands for IT Disaster Resource Center. The NSITSP connected with Joe Hillis and Rodney Cooper when searching for how our members could help Los Angeles fire victims. Board member Keith Nelson (@keith-nelson-ph-d) was already active helping MSP’s with loaner gear from his inventory. Karl Palachuk (@karl-palachuk) also put out a blog post asking for MSP membership organizations to reach out to their membership to help MSP’s in need.

The road back to normalcy is long. The ITDRC can be onsite for months, even years, in places like North Carolina, Florida and Maui. If you would like to help and have some time and expertise to contribute, please contact them at https://www.itdrc.org/volunteering-with-itdrc. Tell them that the NSITSP sent you!
