Beginning immediately, candidates may file to serve on the Board of Directors or one of the committees for the National Society of IT Service Providers.

Note: To run for office, you must be a Paid Professional member. The Board has suspended the requirement of two letters of recommendation until the Governance Committee provides guidance regarding the 2023 member program.

Check it out at https://www.nsitsp.org/elections.

If you missed the Election Kick-off meeting, there’s a link to the recording at the top of the page. Scroll down and you’ll see the entire election process timeline laid out so it’s easy to see where we are.

If you’re a Professional (Paid) member, you are eligible to run for office. You can view the committees to see what each body is responsible for. Members are going to be elected to:

  • The Board of Directors
  • Finance Committee
  • Governance Committee
  • Legislative Committee
  • Marketing Committee

Once you file for office, you will be able to enter a candidate statement and share your photo, social media links, web site, and other information. You can come back and edit this information any time through August 31st. At that point, filing will be closed and changes may not be made to candidate pages.

You will have your own candidate page, made up of the information you entered. Everyone will be able to see and share your candidate page. We have created a member forum for discussing the elections. It is open to members only and is found here: https://nsitsp.org/forums/forum/elections/.

Qualifications, procedures, and some FAQs are at the bottom of the page at https://www.nsitsp.org/elections. Please contact us if you have additional questions. We want to get all information out as publicly as possible so everyone has it.

Note also that we have an all-member meeting scheduled for August 10th at 9:00 AM Pacific / Noon Eastern.

Register for the Zoom meeting HERE.

We’ll be happy to answer your questions at the meeting. And we’ll keep the live campaigning to a minimum. 🙂

The Filing Period closes August 31st. The actual campaign is September 1-15. Voting takes place September 15-23.

Question: What if I’m not a member?

Answer: Join today! All IT Service Providers, and the vendors who support them, are eligible to run for office.

Question: Can Vendors serve on committees and the Board?

Answer: Yes, if you are a paid member. We are grateful to the vendor members now serving on the Board of Directors and on several of our committees. Vendors are an important part of the SMB IT ecosystem. We need each other to be successful.

Vendors can join as individuals or as a company. See the Vendors Page at https://nsitsp.org/vendors/. All Vendor Partner Program levels include one paid professional (voting) membership.

If you have additional questions about anything, send us a note!
